Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a Controls/Automation Engineer, you would support automation projects, system upgrades, and equipment enhancements. You will handle programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems, contributing to new line start-ups, product launches, and repurposing equipment to improve plant efficiency and reliability.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program and troubleshoot Rockwell (PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and Siemens PLCs.
  • Develop and troubleshoot HMI systems (Rockwell PanelView, Siemens, Wonderware).
  • Set up and maintain VFDs
  • Design and setup safety controller (Pilz, Sick, GuardMaster, etc.)
  • Design and update electrical controls, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Provide troubleshooting and start-up support for plant equipment.
  • Research and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Document and train operators and maintenance personnel on system changes.
  • Support electrical installations and special projects.
  • Backup PLC, HMI, and VFD data to the LAN.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell, Siemens).
  • Knowledge of VFDs, safety controllers, and network systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative in addressing issues and improving processes.
