The Controller in the construction industry plays a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fiscal health. This position manages budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls tailored to the complexities of construction projects and related accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports specific to construction activities
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for ongoing construction projects
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal financial policies
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend financial strategies
