We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Controller to join our leadership team and ensure the financial health and reporting accuracy of our divisions.

What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)
The Controller will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity and timely financial data reporting, maintaining the general ledger, and providing the strategic analysis necessary to achieve our ambitious growth targets.
Financial Management & Technical Reporting
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Execute monthly and annual closing entries, prepare and post Journal Entries, and maintain/review the General Ledger to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Financial Statements: Prepare monthly and annual Financial Statements and assemble detailed workpapers for annual audited statements and Tax Returns.
- Compliance: Ensure total compliance with all monthly, quarterly, and annual government filing requirements.
- Reconciliation: Perform detailed review and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts to maintain impeccable financial records.
Operational Analysis & Job Costing
- Project Accounting: Perform Job Costing at various times throughout the month and prepare the monthly detailed Work in Progress (WIP) report.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare Revenue and Expense Forecasts and lead the preparation, review, and analysis of company budgets.
- Data Integrity: Maintain strong technical accounting skills (GAAP), demonstrating practical application to construction-specific financial challenges.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Staff Supervision: Provide direct oversight and mentorship to the Accounting Staff, promoting professional growth and departmental efficiency.
- Change Management: Act as an innovative problem solver and driver of change, implementing process improvements to drive operational efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a collaborator and leader across all company business units to align financial goals with operational reality.
What You Bring (Required Qualifications)
- Industry Expertise: Experience as a Controller in the construction industry is a MUST.
- Software Mastery: Proficiency in Timberline/Sage 300 Construction is a MUST.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting skills (GAAP) and proficiency in MS Office applications (Pivot Tables are a MUST).
- Education & Certification: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and CPA certification.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. You must be self-motivated with sound judgment and the ability to learn independently.

Schedule
