Job Title: Control Systems Engineer\nLocation: Newcastle-upon-Tyne\nContract Type: Permanent, Full time\nOur client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Control Systems Engineer to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.\nCulture and Company\nOur client is a leading North East Engineering business. They are proud to invest in the development and knowledge of their current and future employees, offering a brilliant benefits scheme.\nThe Role – Control Systems Engineer\nAs a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality technical solutions for a range of projects.

You’ll work closely with Senior Engineers, collaborating across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical functions to ensure robust, safe and well‑engineered outcomes.\nYou will be involved in:\n * Developing technical solutions including concept design, detailed design, calculations and technical documentation.\n * Writing specifications, supporting software development and contributing to bills of materials.\n * Ensuring all designs consider safety, commissioning, testing and operational requirements.\n * Interfacing with multidisciplinary teams to meet functional and project objectives.\n * Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities where required.\nAbout You – Control Systems Engineer\nWe’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer who brings:\n * Experience in a multidisciplinary design environment.\n * Strong understanding of control systems, software, electrical principles and industry standards.\n * Ability to solve complex engineering problems and deliver high‑quality technical work.\n * Attention to detail, strong ownership, and the ability to manage tasks to deadline.\n * Degree‑level engineering qualification (BEng/MEng) and ideally working towards professional registration.\nWe’re committed to promoting inclusive opportunities.
