£40,000 - £55,000 + Overtime. OTE £65k - £70k

As a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the full project lifecycle — from design and programming to on-site commissioning and customer support. You’ll work on a variety of UK-based projects with occasional international travel.



Control Systems Engineer - The Role:



PLC programming using Allen Bradley, Siemens or Schneider platforms

HMI and SCADA development (FactoryTalk, WinCC, RSView, or similar)

Supporting system installation, testing, and documentation

Producing machine technical manuals and risk assessments

Providing remote and on-site customer support

Occasional robot programming (Motoman – training available)

We’re looking for an engineer confident in PLC and HMI software design (Rockwell or Siemens experience is essential). Additional experience with Schneider systems, robotics, or SCADA software would be highly beneficial.



You’ll enjoy a varied workload, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges. The ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure is key.



What’s on Offer



Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)

Overtime: Paid for site work (OTE £65,000–£70,000)

Hours: 38-hour week with a 12pm Friday finish

Hybrid Option: After probation, the option to work from home on Friday mornings

Travel: Typically 20–30%, including occasional 1–2 week commissioning trips (planned in advance)

Benefits: Private healthcare, 25 days’ holiday, and annual profit share (employee-owned structure)

This is a small team with a Technical Director keen on expansion. Engineers are encouraged to remain active within all parts of the process. There will be plenty of opportunity available for you to further develop skills with other technology such as SCADA & Robotics to complement your PLC & HMI skills.



Located in Greater Manchester, we are looking for Control Engineers located within and around the following areas: Burnley, Keighly, Blackburn, Preston, Clitheroe and surrounding areas.
