Our client is hiring a Controls Systems Engineer to join their growing team! Excellent benefits, people centric culture and growth opportunities! This role is located onsite in Fargo, ND.

Key Responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer :

• Design, implement, and optimize control and SCADA systems for continuous and batch processes
• Support automation-related capital projects from planning through execution
• Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and system upgrades
• Improve automation utilization and system performance across processing operations
• Provide technical support to maintain high equipment uptime
• Develop system documentation including P&IDs, control narratives, PLC programming, and HMI configurations
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and enhance processes
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements based on lifecycle and ROI analysis
• Train personnel on control systems, instrumentation, and SCADA operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong background in industrial control systems and automation
• Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Horner), SCADA systems, and DCS (DeltaV)
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, networking, and process control systems
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and control documentation standards
• Strong project management, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
