Brownlee Cale are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and deliver advanced automation and control system solutions for our client who operates in Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, and Food & Beverage industries.
You’ll work on a range of complex industrial projects, creating robust PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems that support critical infrastructure. From initial design through to testing, commissioning, and handover, you’ll play a key role in ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities
*
Design, configure, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
*
Develop and test control system software to meet user requirements.
*
Perform bench testing, simulation, and on-site commissioning.
*
Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and client handovers.
*
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company procedures.
*
Collaborate closely with project teams to meet deadlines and quality targets.
*
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project delivery.
Skills and Experience Required
*
Proven experience as a Control Systems Engineer or Automation Engineer.
*
Strong background in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Schneider).
*
Working knowledge of SCADA systems.
*
Experience with communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP/PA, and Modbus TCP/IP.
*
Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and industrial automation hardware.
*
Excellent understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices.
*
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
