Control Systems Engineer

Overview:



We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to support the Verification and Validation (V&V) lifecycle of complex systems within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring system compliance, integrity, and interface alignment across control systems and subsystems throughout the development lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities:



• Lead and support Verification & Validation activities across the full systems lifecycle (from requirements definition through to commissioning).



• Develop and manage interface definitions between plant systems and other subsystems.



• Ensure traceability of requirements and verification evidence using appropriate systems engineering tools (e.g., iDefine & Polarion).



• Engage with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.



• Support the definition, implementation, and maintenance of systems architecture for plant-level systems.



• Contribute to design reviews, hazard analyses, and interface control documents.



• Produce high-quality technical documentation in line with industry and project standards.



Required Experience & Skills:



• Proven experience in plant systems engineering, preferably in nuclear, defence, rail, or aerospace sectors.



• Strong understanding of the V&V lifecycle in a regulated engineering environment.



• Experience with interface management and systems integration.



• Proficient with systems engineering tools such as iDefine, Polarion, Teamcenter, or equivalent.



• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 9001, DEF-STANs, etc.).



• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
