Control Systems Engineer\n\nPermanent\n\nLondon/Cheltenham ( Hybrid Working )\n\nSalary up to £60,000 per annum\n\nBelcan are currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a large project within the Utilities industry.\n \n The client is looking to hire on a Permanent basis for this position, which will involve working on the development and maintenance of the Control Systems.\n\nThe role has a strong focus on engineering delivery and quality. Amongst other things the successful\n candidate will be comfortable working in an Engineering Service environment and will be able to balance\n the technical responsibilities inherent within the role, with the commercial and project timescale\n associated with delivery.\n \n For this role, we are looking for applicants to ideally have experience within;\n\nCustomer\n\nInteracts with customer technical focal points as required.\nBe able to interact well with both internal and external stakeholders and communicate technical issues; propose solutions challenges etc.\nSupporting team leader to define approach, timescales and hours associated with tasks.\nResponsible for tasks which may be adhoc or more difficult.Delivery\n\nOn-Time, On-Budget delivery in accordance with customer quotations\nAdherence to the Belcan QMS P&L\n\nIdentify cost savings (internal & customer)\nIdentify change\nUnderstands and manages change and can articulate its occurrence.Resource/Capability\n\nResponsible for technical quality of personal output\nHelps support other team members as directed by Team Leader/Management\nHelps support Team Leader/Management with aspects such as capability development, QMS related quality issues etcGlobal Interaction\n\nSupports local and global collaboration across the Belcan organisation.
Toolsets\n\nExperience with PLC's - Allen-Bradley (or Siemens, GE Fanuc)\nPLC and protocol simulators / Modbus simulators\nPLC programming tools - RSLogix / GE Fanuc / Siemens\nSCADA - Ignition (or Intouch / Cimplicity / FactoryTalk / WinCC) Technical Skills\n\nControl System Design - DCS/SCADA/PLC systems\nIndustrial Protocols - OPCUA, MQTT, Modbus\nControl System Hardware Design\nTechnical Document Development (User Specifications, Test Procedures, Full Lifecycle Project Documentation)\nTest Procedures (factory & site)\nSystems IntegrationPreferred Experience\n\nExperience in using one or more control system hardware platforms (Allen Bradley , other platforms can be considered e.g. Siemens, ABB, etc.)\nTechnical qualification to HND or Degree level (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering) If you are interested, or would like a discussion about the above position, please feel free to hit the "apply now" to submit your application, and we will endeavour to call you back to discuss the role.\n\nThis vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
