Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer\n\nLocation: Coventry - Hybrid\n\nSalary: £58k - £65k plus overtime\n\nMy client is a global leader within defence and is currently experiencing significant growth. In this role, you will work on some of the UK's most complex and exciting projects, utilizing cutting-edge technology tailored to meet evolving defence needs\n\nAll industries considered and have cross transferables into Defence: Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Rail, Maritime & Shipbuilding\n\nWhat you'll be doing - Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer\n\nDevelop a functional design for the Vehicle Control\nWork closely with the Office of the Chief Engineer, to support assurance activities.\nDelivery of the vehicle control system, reporting suitable progress through agile toolsets\nProvide guidance and instruction on the engineering methods/process\nDevelop technical solutions, developing the team members and nurturing their development\nEngage with legacy stakeholders in the development of a technical solution from a known baseline design \n\nYour skills and experiences - Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer\n\nExperience in developing a C&I design for a large scale C&I system ensuring it meets a wide range of requirements, such as functional & industrial standards, etc.\nExperience with managing non-functional requirements (i.e. EMC, shock, etc.)\nExperience of authoring and/or reviewing design documents, such as I/O schedules, functional design specification, functional chronicle, interface control document, etc.\nDegree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)\nA level of understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols (i.e.
