Job Description
An exciting new opportunity is now available for our client in Exeter. We are recruiting for a Control Engineer. This is mid level role. Salary is £40K-£50K. Start Date of January / February 2026 with interviews a 2 stage process commencing in the new year.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our small, dynamic team, you will take on a variety of responsibilities and challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and optimising a range of control algorithms.
- Simulating and analysing predicted control performance to ensure system reliability.
- Designing and conducting physical tests on internal test platforms as well as in real-world applications.
- Supporting the deployment of control systems for customers, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
- Preparing and maintaining technical reports and test documentation.
- Collaborating closely with the technical team and providing regular updates to management to inform project planning and decision-making.
Skills and experience
- A relevant degree or equivalent industrial experience.
- Expertise in advanced control approaches for vibrations, including adaptive control techniques.
- Hands-on experience with linear motors and drives.
- Proficiency in simulation work using Python or similar tools.
- Experience with experimental validation and implementation of control systems.
