Contracts Manager in Wiltshire

A client within the Public Sector based in Wiltshire is currently recruiting for a Contract Manager (Property Safety) to join their Property Safety Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or housing provider within a property safety / asset management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To provide effective contract management and technical oversight for property safety workstreams—ensuring full compliance across servicing and maintenance programmes including water quality, lifting equipment, CCTV, fire safety systems, security, emergency lighting, radon extraction and other safety-critical assets.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing all servicing, works and maintenance contracts to ensure compliance, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Producing performance reports for suppliers and ensuring timely corrective actions where required.
• Supporting and monitoring budgets, ensuring expenditure aligns with financial regulations and audit requirements.
• Working with procurement to prepare tender documents and secure value-for-money services.
• Maintaining accurate compliance records, monitoring data, and contributing to continuous service improvement.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline.
• A formal technical qualification relevant to property safety, compliance, or asset management.
• Proven experience in contract management within property safety, compliance, or asset management.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience monitoring significant works budgets.
• Understanding of housing safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical data and produce clear written reports.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £40 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £30 per hour PAYE).
