Contracts Manager – Scaffolding
Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing scaffolding contractor with a solid reputation for delivering high-quality access solutions across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of key projects, client relationships, and operational delivery.
Role Overview:
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple scaffolding projects from tender stage through to completion. You will ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This is a client-facing role requiring strong leadership, commercial acumen, and knowledge of scaffolding operations and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage multiple scaffolding projects across various sites.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business.
Lead pre-start meetings, progress reviews, and project handovers.
Monitor project progress, budgets, labour, and resource allocation.
Work closely with site supervisors, design teams, and health & safety managers.
Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
Manage subcontractors and in-house operatives, driving productivity and efficiency.
Prepare and review RAMS, project programmes, valuations, and contract documentation.
Support in pricing variations, cost control, and resolving commercial issues.
Report regularly to the senior leadership team on project performance and business opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or similar senior role) within scaffolding or access solutions.
Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, techniques, and regulations.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Demonstrable track record in project delivery, team leadership, and budget control.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract law.
Relevant industry qualifications (CISRS, SMSTS, ).
Full UK driving licence.
