Contracts Manager – Roofing & Rainscreen CladdingPosition: Contracts Manager – Roofing & Rainscreen Cladding\n Location: West Midlands\n Employment Type: Full-time\n\nRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple roofing and rainscreen cladding projects across our portfolio. The role requires strong commercial and operational expertise, with responsibility for managing project teams, ensuring health & safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and achieving programme and budget targets.\n\nThe successful candidate will act as the primary client contact, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards while protecting the company’s commercial interests.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProject & Contract Management\n\nOversee the planning, delivery, and completion of roofing and rainscreen cladding contracts.\n\nEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.\n\nManage multiple projects simultaneously, delegating effectively to Site Managers.\n\nPrepare, monitor, and update project programmes and progress reports.\n\nCommercial Responsibility\n\nTake ownership of project budgets, cost control, and reporting.\n\nManage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance.\n\nIdentify and mitigate risks, variations, and potential delays.\n\nWork closely with the commercial team to protect and enhance project margins.\n\nHealth, Safety & Compliance\n\nEnsure full compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regulations, and company policies.\n\nReview RAMS and oversee safe working practices across all sites.\n\nLead on quality assurance, ensuring installations meet industry, manufacturer, and design standards.\n\nClient & Stakeholder Management\n\nAct as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.\n\nAttend and chair project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and solutions.\n\nBuild strong, long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.\n\nTeam Leadership\n\nManage and support Site Managers, supervisors, and project teams.\n\nProvide leadership, training, and mentoring to staff.\n\nPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nSkills & Experience\nProven track record as a Contracts Manager in roofing and/or rainscreen cladding projects.\n\nStrong technical knowledge of roofing systems (flat, pitched, single ply, liquid) and rainscreen cladding systems (ACM, aluminium, terracotta, stone, high-pressure laminate).\n\nCommercially astute with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.\n\nStrong organisational and problem-solving abilities.\n\nProficient with IT and project reporting software.\n\nValid SMSTS, CSCS (Black), and First Aid at Work ().\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary package (to be based on experience).\n\nCompany car / car allowance.\n\nPension and healthcare options.\n\nOpportunities for career development within a growing business.\n\nTraining and professional development support
