They work across major infrastructure sectors, helping clients maintain, upgrade and future-proof critical assets while creating sustainable solutions for future .With a strong focus on safety, collaboration and professional development, they offer an environment where individuals can grow their careers while contributing to complex and rewarding projects.The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects within the water and utility infrastructure sector.You will be responsible for leading operational teams, managing client relationships, ensuring commercial performance, and driving project delivery in line with safety, quality and contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities Lead the safe, efficient and successful delivery of contracts and projects.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and professional relationships.Drive a positive health, safety, environmental and wellbeing culture across all operations.Monitor contract performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality, programme and commercial targets.Manage project teams, subcontractors and operational resources effectively.Support resource planning and collaborate with senior leadership on future work opportunities and business growth.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications and industry standards.Provide leadership, coaching and development for direct reports and wider project teams.Contribute to tender submissions, project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a Contracts Manager , Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role within utilities, water, infrastructure or engineering environments.Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.Commercial awareness with experience managing contract performance and profitability.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.Knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable.Understanding of MEICA, electrical or process engineering environments would be advantageous.Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Full UK Driving Licence.What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.Private healthcare.Company pension scheme.Life assurance.25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Option to purchase additional annual leave.Employee rewards and discount platform.Employee assistance programme.Overtime opportunities.Referral bonus scheme.Ongoing training, career development and progression opportunities.About the Employer Our client is a well-established engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering design, build, maintenance and asset management services across the UK.
