Contracts Manager

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTheUSG (United States Government) Contract Manager will manage the full lifecycleof contracts with government entities, from proposal development to contractcloseout. The Contract Manager will ensure compliance with regulations,negotiate terms, and manage relationships with government contracting officers. Otherresponsibilities will include preparing proposals, assessing risk, andmonitoring contract performance.

Duties andResponsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, while complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Develop agreements covering statements of work (SOW), pricing, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies during contract structuring.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to address contractual complexities.
  • Create and modify contract to implement agreements with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and addressing any deviations.
  • Manage contract modifications, amendments, and change orders as needed.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of vendors regarding quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Administering contracts and subcontracts, while ensuring compliance with regulations and government procurement policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks such as cost overruns, schedule delays, and non-compliance issues.
  • Resolve contract disputes and claims through effective negotiation and communication.
  • Managing vendors and/or stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Contracting Officers, program managers, sales teams, and executive management to align contract requirements with business objectives.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and facilitate open communication.
  • Provide regular contract status updates to senior leadership.
  • Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors and assess capabilities.
  • Manage competitive bidding processes, including evaluating proposals and selecting vendors.

Requirements

· Bachelors Degree in BusinessAdministration or equivalent

· 5+ years' experience in federalgovernment contracting requirements and procurement

· Strong contract negotiation and analysis.

· Proficient in government contractmanagement software and ERP systems.
