Contracts Manager

Job Description

Our client is a family owned well established business who specialise in \n\nHousing\n\t\nBuild\n\t\nDevelopment and retrofit.\n\nAn exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager has arisen within their social housing sector.\n\nThe scope of works they are currently undertaking are Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishments, re-wires, window and door replacements, EWI works, external works, social housing decarbonisation schemes  – previous experience in this type of work is essential.\n\nRole and responsibilities \n\nManaging operational site teams\n\t\nImplementing Health & Safety procedures and practices to industry leadings standards\n\t\nManaging delivery in accordance with all regulations, prescribed recommendations, contract documentation and standards\n\t\nManaging and maintain programme and report any departures\n\t\nParticipate in activities and initiatives to improve working practice\n\t\nAdherance to company policies and procedures undertaking all duties whilst promoting values\n\t\nArrangement and attendance at internal and external pre-start meetings\n\t\nLiaison and communication with all internal team\n\t\nEfficient allocation and management of project resource requirements including direct labour, direct supplied materials, plant, fleet requirements, sub-contractors, novated supply chain and free issue materials\n\t\nReview and approval (in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor) of Sub-Contractor valuations\n\t\nRelationship management with peers including client, design team and consultants\n\t\nArrangement and attendance at contract close out meeting, chairing if required\n\nTo be considered \n\nProven track record of Contract Management\n\t\nExperience in running multiple Social Housing projects from start to finish\n\t\nIn-depth knowledge of construction standards, legislation, and quality delivery\n\t\nStrong planning, decision-making, and organisational abilities\n\t\nProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\t\nIn date SMSTS qualification\n\t\nFirst Aid at work\n\t\nAsbestos Awareness (is desirable but not essential)
