Contracts Manager
Job Description
We are a well-established Construction contractor based near Coventry.\n\nWe are offering a fantastic opportunity for a bright and motivated individual to join our Contracts Team.\n\nYou will have experience of Commercial new build, refurbishment and internal fit out projects up to £2 million.\n\nYou will be based in the Coventry office and travel to site to make sure projects are being completed on time and within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Produce site programmes indicating project duration, scope of works and time scales per trade.\n\n * Understanding of contracts\n\n * Liaise with the commercial and internal departments to ensure the ‘lead in’ time is programmed / co-ordinates to suit the projects undertaken.\n\n * Priorities workload, manage and provide solutions to issues in relation to contracts assigned.\n\n * To work closely with the production team to ensure joinery production targets and transport requests can be met.\n\n * Develop and maintain good working relationship with the client.\n\n * To develop and implement working relationships with architect, designers, building control and other third parties.\n\n * Attend site meetings with client, and sub-contractors, produce accurately recorded minutes.\n\n * To work closely with the Commercial and Procurement team to control labour, material purchases and sub-contractor budgets.\n\n * Manage sub-contractors.\n\n * Ensure Health & Safety regulations are met in accordance with the current legislation.\n\n * Assist Commercial team and / or Director/s with final account preparation.\n\nKey Skills\n\n * Previous experience in management of fit out contracts.\n\n * Communication at all levels both internally and externally.\n\n * Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.Candidates will require sufficient experience to manage and deliver projects from pre contract through to post contract stage
