Contracts Manager

Madisons Recruitment are currently working with a highly successful construction contractor located in the Bedfordshire area in their search for a Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.



Our client operate predominantly across the Home Counties on both public and private sector works including heritage buildings, their portfolio of works includes new build, design and build, refurbishment, renovations, alterations and other small works. 



Role & Responsibilities:



Responsible for quality management and compliance, customer service, stakeholder management and commercial performance

Responsible for the progress of the contracts under your control

Establishing a close working relationship with the client

Establish close working relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors

Monitor, and manage contract risks and opportunities

Experience & Attributes:



Have previous experience of running projects as project manager/contracts manager

Possess a working knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract

Possess the ability to confidently, communicate with both external and internal teams

Possess the ability to present plans clearly and accurately

Have a pragmatic approach to finding practical solutions

Be articulate and precise in all communications, both written and verbal

Have experience in various construction methods

Keep up to date with current legislation and regulations and codes of practice etc

Have excellent organisational skills to enable you to “own” the job from inception to completion

Possess an appropriate CSCS card

Have experience in producing tender and project stage programmes

Have experience in production of logistics plans

Have experience in production of technical responses for tender submissions

Requirements: 



Possess an HND or Degree qualification (or equivalent) in in a construction related discipline or be qualified by experience

Have the appropriate grade current CSCS card

SMSTS

Possess a full, clean driving licence

Have a minimum of 5 years similar experience with a Contractor

Be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products

Have the ability to use planning software e.g. Project Commander / Asta

Be a self-starter and self-motivated to achieve results

You will be a leader of people with excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills and have the desire and drive to get the best out of, not only yourself, but all of those who work for you.

We will need you to be able to successfully achieve high level security and enhanced DBS clearances due to our current client list.

Benefits & Package:



£65,000 - £75,000 per year

33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
