Contracts Administrator - Construction

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing all contract-related activities for construction projects. The position ensures that contracts are drafted, reviewed, negotiated, and executed in alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices. The Contract Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and internal/external stakeholders to confirm contract terms are met, mitigate risks, and support smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Administration

Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements in coordination with legal and project teams.

Interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., lien laws, prevailing wage requirements, indemnification statutes).

Manage contract approvals, modifications, and renewals through the companys contract management system.

Support analysis of contractual obligations and risk allocation.
Project Coordination & Compliance

Partner with project managers, business units, and divisional teams to ensure contract terms align with project objectives.
Risk Management & Legal Support

Identify and assess contract risks, proposing strategies to minimize exposure.

Stay informed on construction laws, regulations, prompt payment statutes, lien rights, and other industry requirements.
Documentation & Record Keeping

Ensure contract-related documents are properly executed, maintained, and stored in compliance with company policies.
Skills & Qualifications

3-5 years of experience with construction contracts.

Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, procurement, and purchasing systems.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to build trust across teams and stakeholders.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and accountability for results.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and contract management software.

Solid understanding of contracting and procurement terminology, principles, and strategies.
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
Compensation
- $80,000 - $84,000 annually.
