Contract Role (Remote): Marketplace Operations & Strategy Consultant

10 Million Women is a purpose-driven corporate gifting company accelerating the growth of small, independent women-owned businesses. Following recent growth, we’re launching a multi-brand online marketplace and are looking for a consultant with proven experience in marketplace business operations, vendor logistics, and international e-commerce strategy.

Role Description

This is a strategic operations role focused on defining and optimising the business framework for a new multi-brand marketplace. The consultant will assess our current setup, design the operational structure for vendor and order management, and ensure that systems and processes are scalable across regions.

Location: Remote – open to applicants worldwide

Scope of Work (one-off project):

• Advise on marketplace structure, commercial model, and vendor workflows.
• Define operational processes for order routing, shipping, and returns across UK, EU, and US markets.
• Configure tax and DDP/DDU shipping approach in collaboration with our technical team.
• Recommend the right systems and integrations to support scalable operations.
• Train our internal team to manage marketplace operations post-launch.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in marketplace business operations, e-commerce logistics, or cross-border fulfilment strategy.
• Strong understanding of vendor management, import/export, and multi-region operations.
• Working knowledge of VAT, OSS, and DDP/DDU for UK/EU trade.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into clear, scalable frameworks.
