Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer seeking a time-served Maintenance Technician with a strong background in high volume manufacturing to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume production facility by carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic air compressed machinery. There will also be some PLC Fault Finding involved.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
* Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption and maximize output.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety
* Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer within an FMCG environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
* Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work shifts or weekends if required.
