35 hours per week, rotating shifts: 06:00 – 13:00 or 12:00 – 19:00, Monday to Friday (very occasional Saturday morning shift)

A leading company in the Transport and Logistics sector is currently looking for a Container Transport Planner to join their team in Garston. This role offers a permanent position with a 35-hour work week and excellent work-life balance.



Key Responsibilities:



Maintain accurate records of container movements and documentation

Plan, schedule, and coordinate container transport operations to ensure timely deliveries

Monitor transport schedules and adapt plans in response to operational changes or delays

Liaise with drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

Handle administrative tasks, including reporting, data entry, and communication with stakeholders

Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational issues

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Provide support to the wider team during peak periods or operational challengesSkills and Experience:



Proven experience in container transport planning or a similar logistics role

Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills

Self-reliant, proactive, and able to make decisions under pressure

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
