A well-established Further Education College in Cambridge is seeking Construction Trade Technicians to support the delivery of high-quality practical learning within the Construction department.

\n

  • Electrical Installation
  • \n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in the construction industry who is looking to move into education and help learners develop their practical skills in a safe and professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

  • Prepare workshop areas, equipment, and materials for practical sessions
  • \n

  • Support lecturers during construction trade lessons and demonstrations
  • \n

  • Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment to industry standards
  • \n

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering materials and resources
  • \n

  • Ensure workshop areas remain clean, organised, and safe
  • \n

  • Promote and maintain health and safety procedures at all times
  • \n

  • Provide practical assistance to students during workshop activities
  • \n

Requirements:

    \n
  • Experience within the construction industry or a construction workshop environment
  • \n

  • Knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment
  • \n

  • Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
  • \n

  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • \n

  • Experience within an educational setting is desirable but not essential
  • \n
