Job Title: Construction Teacher\n Area: Ealing, West London\n Start Date: September 2025\n Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent\n Salary: £170-£260 per day (dependent on experience)\n Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm\n\nBrief description:\n Teach practical construction skills to students in a supportive specialist school environment.\n\nAbout the school:\n Independent specialist school for learners aged 5-21 with social, emotional and mental health needs and moderate learning difficulties. The school provides a hands-on, vocational curriculum alongside therapeutic support.\n\nAbout the role:\n Deliver engaging construction lessons that develop practical skills, health and safety awareness, and teamwork. Support students to gain confidence and work readiness in a safe, nurturing setting.\n\nWe're looking for a dedicated candidate to:\n\nPlan and deliver construction and vocational lessons\nTeach health and safety, tool use, and building techniques\nAdapt teaching to meet varied learning needs\nSupport positive behaviour and skill development\nCollaborate with teaching and pastoral teamsRequirements -\n The ideal candidate would have:\n\nRelevant construction or vocational teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, City & Guilds)\nExperience teaching construction or practical skills to people\nUnderstanding of SEMH and SEND education settings\nStrong communication and classroom management skills\nCommitment to inclusive and practical learningOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted\n Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
