RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct survey computations and data collection including construction layout calculations, grade sheet computation, topographical/volume analysis, and project data conversion.
  • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
  • Perform construction site layouts and other surveying activities.
  • Supervise a Rodman and/or crew.
  • Be detail oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
  • Exhibit flexibility to react to changing client and company expectations.
  • Be able to take direction and functions independently.
  • Participate and become an active part of the project and division team. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables based on client preferences and in areas where documentation may be. 
  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys
  • Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience must show current proficiency operating a robotic tool station, GPS, and level.
  • AutoCAD experience not required but viewed favorably.
  • Knowledge of geological description principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, and government regulation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, focused, self-motivated, possess good work ethic and be a team player.
  • Ability to travel will be required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required, and candidate must pass be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report background check.

EVEN BETTER (BUT NOT REQUIRED) IF

  • Experience on Solar Energy Projects 
  • OSHA 10/30 Certification 
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
