Role Summary
The Supervisor oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. They coordinate field team activity, manage daily schedules, and consult with contractors and clients to ensure timely and efficient execution of work. The Supervisor role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues on-site. The supervisor also ensures accurate documentation and reporting of project progress and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities.
· Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, codes, and company standards.
· Lead and coordinate field electricians and technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
· Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems efficiently.
· Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and daily work schedules to meet production goals.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and system upgrades for compliance and reporting with engineers, contractors, and other departments to support seamless project execution.
· Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
· Valid electrician’s license and OSHA safety certification; additional credentials like NFPA 70E or PMP are a plus.
· Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
· Strong understanding of industrial power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, and electrical codes (NEC, IEC)
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage field operations, and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, training, and client interaction
· Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical issues and implementing effective solutions under pressure.
· Experience managing schedules, budgets, and resources in fast-paced industrial environments.
· Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
