Job Title: Construction Supervisor
Reports To: OSP Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Construction Supervisor will be the individual responsible for overseeing the contracted construction crews actively building Highline’s network.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect outside plant construction contractor(s) to maintain high-quality standards.
- Oversee the deployment of fiber optic network, ensuring build quality, adherence to timelines and compliance with company standards and specification.
- Evaluate proposed construction plans and schematic drawings and recommend optimized construction techniques that reduce costs, ease of operations and timely execution.
- Prioritize and manage construction projects within budgetary constraints to achieve company objectives.
- Act as a customer representative to resolve damage and restoration issues arising from OSP construction activities.
- Help define and uphold construction management standards, utilizing Quality Standards and Company requirements to optimize project implementation.
- Assist the Project Manager in resolving disputes and contractual issues with contractors and suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Skilled in OSP fiber optic construction standards and methods for both Aerial and Underground applications
- Minimum 3 years working on various FTTP/FTTH construction projects with a focus on time, budget, and quality management.
- Familiarity with underground and aerial fiber plant design and construction, including utility easements, pole attachments, located in public or private rights-of-way.
- Thorough knowledge of project management, asset management, and network construction, with an understanding of NESC codes and safety regulations in both underground and aerial applications.
- Through understanding of safety practices associated with operating directional drilling, vibratory plows, excavators, locaters and working in roadway easements or Right-of-Ways.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (Drug and Background). As well as quarterly random screenings.
