Construction Superintendent
San Diego County, CA
Full-Time | ️ Design-Build | ️ Federal & Commercial Projects
$100,000 – $160,000 (DOE) + Vehicle Allowance + Benefits
A well-established design-build contractor with nearly 30 years of experience in fast-track commercial and government construction is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join their West Coast field operations team. With a focus on Department of Defense projects and large-scale public-sector work, this firm has a strong presence across Southern California and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, engineers, and inspectors
- Conduct daily reports, schedule updates, and ensure progress milestones are met
- Lead OAC meetings, inspections, and manage field issue resolution
✅ Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on mid- to large-scale construction projects
- 4+ years of prior trade or fieldwork in construction
- Background in military, federal, or fast-paced commercial construction
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in construction management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling or construction software (Primavera, Viewpoint, BIM, etc.) is a plus
- Current or obtainable certifications: OSHA 30, EM 385, STS, CPR/First Aid
- Spanish-English bilingual and LEED credentials are a plus
