We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in HCAI (formerly OSHPD) regulated healthcare construction projects. This role requires hands-on leadership in the field, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and in strict compliance with HCAI regulations, healthcare standards, and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing hospital, medical office, and healthcare facility projects, with a proven track record of coordinating teams and delivering high-quality results in complex, occupied environments.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects governed by HCAI.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to ensure safe and efficient site operations.

Enforce compliance with HCAI standards, healthcare-specific codes, and project specifications.

Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors to ensure timely approvals and issue resolution.

Monitor project schedules and manpower to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and safety documentation.

Lead site meetings and collaborate with stakeholders including clients, inspectors, and design teams.

Ensure infection control measures and interim life safety protocols are followed in occupied healthcare settings.

Support project closeout, including punch list completion, inspections, and turnover documentation.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of superintendent experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare construction.

Direct experience with HCAI (OSHPD) requirements is required.

Strong understanding of healthcare construction logistics, infection control, and safety protocols.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and HCAI standards.

Excellent communication and leadership skills for coordinating with clients, inspectors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) .

OSHA certification or equivalent safety training strongly .

Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.
