SRC Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee numerous construction projects from start to finish in multiple locations in CT!
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with strong civil and site management experience to oversee multiple construction projects from initial site work through project completion. This role requires a leader who understands the complexities of site development, infrastructure, and civil construction while maintaining safety, quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
The responsibilities of the Construction Superintendent are:
- Manage day-to-day site activities for civil, site, and structural phases of construction.
- Develop scopes of work, construction schedules, and site logistics plans to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, roadways, and foundation work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Work closely with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and project managers to align resources and project goals.
- Interpret drawings, contracts, and technical details, and clearly communicate requirements to all project stakeholders.
- Monitor and inspect all civil and site work to meet company standards and industry codes.
- Implement, enforce, and update site-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Anticipate issues, resolve field conflicts, and adapt plans as needed to maintain progress.
- Maintain detailed daily field reports and update project management team on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Monitor labor, materials, and equipment to ensure cost-effective operations.
The qualifications of the Construction Superintendent are:
- 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a focus on civil/site projects (infrastructure, utilities, foundations, or heavy site work).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, civil/site development, and industry safety regulations.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, site plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent certification
