Construction Superintendent

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Construction Superintendent are:

• Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.

\n

• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.

\n

• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.

\n

• Direct and supervise construction or related workers.

\n

• Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.

\n

• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.

\n

• Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.

\n

• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.

\n

• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations.

\n

The successful Construction Superintendent will have the following qualifications:\n

• Minimum of five years of construction experience required

\n

• 5+ years of post graduation construction experience but not required

\n

• Five plus years of residential construction but not required

\n

• Heavy Structural Experience is a plus: Underpinning, Bencihing, Heavy Gauge Steel

\n

\n

Residential Construction company based in New York City. This Building and Construction firm specializes in luxury interiors projects throughout the 5 boroughs. Mostly Brownstone and Townhome projects with high-end finishes. Firm currently has a backlog of work through 2028.
