We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in commercial construction to oversee projects across North Carolina. This role requires traveling within the state to manage on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to coordinate teams, subcontractors, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all field operations on commercial construction sites, including scheduling, safety, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Manage day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align field operations with project goals.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce jobsite safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and project documentation.

  • Lead site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and track progress.

  • Monitor and manage project schedules, manpower, and resources to meet deadlines.

  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

  • Serve as the main point of contact at the jobsite, representing the company to clients, inspectors, and partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction.

  • Proven track record overseeing projects such as retail, office buildings, healthcare, multifamily, or institutional facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and site logistics.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) .

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.

  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training .

  • Willingness to travel across North Carolina.
