Schultz Construction is a fast-paced Design-Build General Contractor, that is currently seeking a Superintendent that desires a challenge with big picture potential. This position requires a result orientated individual with the ability to structure and complete projects with a given deadline and budget. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successful Custom Homes, Duplex's, Apartments, and or Commercial projects.
Superintendent Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day-to-day operations at the construction site from groundbreaking to final inspection.
- Coordinate subcontractors for Site Work, Framing, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Roofing, Drywall, Finishes
- Schedule material deliveries in line with build sequences to avoid delays or cluttered job sites
- Monitor subcontractor work for quality, safety, and compliance with scope.
- Manage site logistics (e.g., access, material storage, equipment placement)
- Perform inspections at key milestones (Foundations, Framing, MEP Rough Ins, Thermal, Closeout)
- Communicate with inspectors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-term project schedules
- Ability to resolve field issues quickly to avoid project delays.
- Enforce job site safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that reflects company standards
- Ensure compliance with local and state building codes
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating subcontractors and vendors
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and inspection procedures
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and trades (Concrete foundations, structural, MEP, finishes, etc.)
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate crews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with subcontractors, inspectors, clients, and project managers
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Strong time and management and planning skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Capable of maintaining accurate documentation, logs, and reports
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Minimum of an OSHA 10 certification
- Valid driver's license
