Houchin Construction is seeking a Superintendent for various residential and commercial projects in Collier and Lee Counties. The Superintendent oversees all on-site construction activities and manages day to day field operations.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee daily activities on one or more active job sites
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, submittals and other project documents
• Ensure compliance of construction activities with project documents
• Manage quality control
• Monitor safety of all on site subcontractors and other visitors
• Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and other site activities
• Complete daily site reports including job site pictures with activity description
• Create and maintain an active inspection log including dates, times and approvals by various inspectors

The Superintendent reports to the Director of Field Operations.

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills & experience:

• Excellent knowledge of all phases of building construction, including work commonly done by various building trades
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Minimum of 3 years experience as Construction Superintendent
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to operate a cell phone, tablet, computer, including email
