Construction Service Manager

The Encompass Group has partnered with an incredible residential plumbing service company focused on providing quality service to the Austin metro.


The Service Manager will oversee daily operations of the residential plumbing division, ensuring top-quality service delivery, team development, and financial performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable riding along with technicians, providing coaching and training, and driving operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor plumbing technicians to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct ride-alongs with technicians to provide on-the-job coaching, ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols, and reinforce best practices.
  • Manage scheduling, dispatch, and workflow to optimize technician productivity and response times.
  • Monitor and manage the department’s P&L, including budgeting, revenue tracking, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to improve service delivery, profitability, and team accountability.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through service excellence and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set goals, identify growth opportunities, and align team performance with company objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in service management in a trade
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Knowledge of residential plumbing systems and service operations.
  • Ability to interpret financial reports and manage departmental P&L.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
