Construction Project Manager

Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time | Salary + Commission
Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 annually + commission

About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee and drive successful project completion from start to finish. In this role, you’ll manage budgets, timelines, and teams, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a solid background in construction or restoration and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure high-quality results.
• Prepare and deliver project updates and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to maximize profitability.
• Acquire necessary permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
• Enforce on-site safety standards and promptly address violations or risks.
• Respond to emergency property damage calls and coordinate effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects to clarify specifications and materials.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to keep projects on track.
• Issue purchase orders for subcontractor work when needed.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally in restoration or construction.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, blueprints, permits, materials, and construction methods.
• At least 1 year of proven leadership experience in construction management.
• Familiarity with Xactimate and project management software .
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for vendor and client interactions.
• Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, MI.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage projects independently.
