Role Description This is a full-time Construction Project Manager role based in the City of Nottingham, operating in a hybrid model that combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The Construction Project Manager will oversee day-to-day project activities from pre-construction through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and coordination of contractors and consultants. The role involves managing site meetings, monitoring progress against timelines, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations, and resolving issues that may impact delivery. The Construction Project Manager will review drawings and specifications, track project costs, prepare reports for internal stakeholders and investors, and support risk management and quality control processes. Collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and local authorities is essential to ensure projects meet agreed standards and client expectations.
Qualifications

  • Strong project oversight capabilities, including Construction Project Management and general Project Management skills.
  • Experience in on-site leadership and Construction Management, with a solid understanding of building methods, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Budgeting and cost control, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and managing variations.
  • Effective Project Coordination skills, including scheduling, documentation, stakeholder communication, and issue escalation.
  • Relevant professional experience in construction or property development; experience in mixed-use or residential projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, contracts, and specifications and communicate requirements clearly to site teams and partners.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects or phases concurrently.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction-related software tools; familiarity with MS Project or similar systems is beneficial.
  • Recognized qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Full, valid right to work in the UK and the ability to travel regularly to sites in and around the City of Nottingham.
