FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage millwork construction projects from planning and budgeting through execution, client communication, quality control, documentation, and successful project delivery. This role is responsible for coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, schedules, budgets, permits, project risks, and client expectations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have construction project management experience within millwork, strong technical construction knowledge, experience managing large-scale projects, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing assigned construction projects from planning through successful completion
- Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and milestones
- Coordinating and scheduling tasks with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Overseeing procurement of materials and equipment as needed
- Ensuring required permits and project documentation are obtained prior to project initiation
- Developing project budgets and ensuring costs remain within allocated limits
- Monitoring project expenses while maintaining quality standards
- Assisting with project cost forecasts and tracking project financials
- Submitting project financial reports to senior management as needed
- Addressing financial discrepancies or scope changes effectively
- Leading and managing project teams to support project success
- Providing direction, motivation, and support to project team members
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and employees to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Providing training and development for team members as necessary
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients
- Addressing client questions, concerns, and updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicating project progress to stakeholders
- Leading regular project meetings to track milestones, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with client needs
- Supporting site safety plans in partnership with the Superintendent and Safety department
- Identifying potential risks to project timelines, costs, or quality
- Implementing mitigation strategies to reduce project risk
- Resolving issues or disputes that arise during the project
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and environmental considerations
- Ensuring all work meets industry standards, local regulations, and client specifications
- Conducting site inspections and overseeing quality assurance processes
- Coordinating with and overseeing the Assistant Project Manager
- Reviewing work completed by subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, budgets, schedules, and reports
- Preparing and submitting progress reports and required documentation to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Supporting millwork-related project needs, including custom cabinetry, casework, molding, trim, built-ins, wall paneling, stair parts, and related architectural millwork
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 3+ years of construction project management experience specifically within millwork required
- Experience managing projects exceeding $5 million required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry required
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulations
- Experience with custom cabinetry, casework, crown and base molding, trim and casing work, built-ins, wall paneling, stair parts, or related millwork
- Familiarity with AWI quality standards
- PMP or similar certification
- Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, and scheduling tools
- Experience with client relations and contract negotiations
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore or Microsoft Project,
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong budgeting and financial acumen
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong technical construction knowledge

- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing project plans, schedules, budgets, contracts, reports, and construction documentation
- Ability to communicate by phone, email, video meeting, and in person throughout the workday
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, contracts, project documentation, reports, and computer screens for extended periods
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, documentation, project management software, reporting, and standard office tasks
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout office, construction site, warehouse, or project environments as needed
- Ability to conduct site visits, inspections, and project walk-throughs as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office, project, or construction documentation materials as needed
- Ability to work in office and construction site environments while following applicable safety procedures
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed when entering construction or project sites
Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000/year
