Construction Project Manager (Electrical/Technology)

 

    TPS, a sub-consultant to AECOM, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Construction Project Manager position specializing in Electrical and Technology systems. The selected candidate will manage and oversee the delivery of multiple projects with emphasis on Public Announcement (Intercom) systems and scopes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

§  Four-year college education (Bachelor’s) in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited institution is desirable

§  and at least seven (10) years of successful experience with progressively increasing responsibility for managing similar electrical and low voltage projects

§  Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing higher education and/or K-12 projects or similar commercial environment

§  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and industry standard design and construction management software is required.

                                                                                             

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

·       Knowledge of project management strategies/concepts to support the services of a major capital building program. (cradle to grave)

·       Skilled in the administration and planning, design and construction management of multiple projects occurring at the same time

·       Knowledge and expertise to manage project activities with special emphasis on Electrical and Low Voltage scopes and systems

·       Knowledge of Electrical and Low Voltage scopes and systems such as Public Announcement (PA), fire alarm, access control, voice & data, communication, etc.)

·       Ability to conduct high level reviews of project submittals for accuracy, completeness and compliance

·       Skilled in negotiating construction contracts

·       Knowledge of local and State governmental (Florida Building Code) and Florida DOE contractual reporting requirements
