About Us

Gough Inc. is a family-owned construction company based in Merrillville, Indiana. We specialize in Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, and Site Utility construction. As a growing company, we are seeking a team-oriented experienced Construction Project Manager / Construction Estimator to join our team and grow with us.

Position Overview

The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of construction projects—from accurate estimating and bidding to execution and project close-out. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, planning, and leadership skills to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and project budgets

· Perform bid process activities: scope reviews, bid evaluations, and proposal submittals

· Oversee construction projects from planning through completion

· Track and report project costs, schedules, and financial performance

· Collaborate with on-site superintendents and manage subcontractors

· Maintain project timelines, identify and resolve risks or delays

· Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders

· Attend project management, safety, and coordination meetings

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and estimating

· Experience in these types of Construction Industrial, Commercial, Institutional/Healthcare, or Site Utility sectors

· Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or 7 years' experience)

· Proficient with estimating and project management software (e.g., Sage, Earthworks, Primavera)

· Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Drive skills

· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
