We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, particularly in the areas of DSA (Division of the State Architect), K-12 educational facilities, and student dormitories. This role requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant work experience who can effectively lead projects from inception to completion while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project milestones
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting
- Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with DSA regulations, building codes, and safety standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients
- Manage change orders and resolve conflicts or disputes that arise during the construction process
- Implement and maintain quality control and safety programs
- Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies for necessary permits and approvals
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on DSA, K-12, and student dormitory projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry standards
- Strong understanding of DSA processes and requirements
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with construction contracts and legal aspects of the industry
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
