Job Summary: This role will support a global pharmaceutical manufacturing leader in shaping the future of advanced drug production. The Lebanon Plant site is a new, greenfield campus spanning 600 acres and will serve as a flagship location for manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), including both Peptides and Small Molecules. The site includes multiple manufacturing buildings, support structures, and ancillary facilities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Construction Engineer to support the Small Projects Group (SPG), responsible for overseeing ancillary building projects such as a fire station, visitor center, and recycle center. This role requires a hands-on, on-site presence and collaboration with the Owner’s project management team and the Design-Build contractor.
Job Duties:
- Act as an on-site construction liaison supporting the Project Manager and SPG Field Representative.
- Coordinate and supervise field activities with the Design-Build contractor and relevant trades.
- Review construction work in progress to verify quality, compliance, and quantity.
- Assist with resolving constructability issues and providing design input where needed.
- Document project meetings, manage submittals, and track project documentation.
- Support site logistics coordination and delivery of Owner-provided services and products (e.g., furniture, testing).
- Prepare final turnover documentation to operations.
- Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings.
- Maintain organized records using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework .
- Must reside locally to Lebanon, IN or be willing to commute.
- Ability to work on an active construction site and participate in site and safety training.
