Our projects power communities, connect systems, and demand precision. We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team and support our tremendous growth.

Role Overview

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be the connective tissue between field execution and office coordination. You’ll support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring technical accuracy, schedule alignment, and compliance with public agency requirements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, learns quickly, and solves problems proactively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managment staff in planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Review and redline plans, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance
  • Track RFIs, change orders, and material procurement timelines
  • Support field teams with layout, documentation, and issue resolution
  • Maintain organized digital project files and ensure timely reporting
  • Interface with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to uphold project standards
  • Identify risks early and propose actionable solutions
  • Contribute to bid reviews and preconstruction planning as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in public works construction (underground electrical )
  • Strong understanding of Caltrans, city, and county specifications
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting civil and electrical plans
  • Self-motivated with a bias toward action and accountability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Quick learner with a growth mindset and collaborative spirit
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Excel

Skills

  • Experience with union labor compliance and certified payroll
  • Exposure to estimating or bid preparation
  • Knowledge of trenching, conduit installation, and utility coordination
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
