Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Reno NV
Duration: 6 Months
Pay rate - $40/hr -$43/hr
Position Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting all activities related to the construction, maintenance, operation, and restoration of underground and overhead distribution and transmission systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and effective utilization of departmental resources while maintaining compliance and promoting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate departmental activities and resources, including field and work crew personnel.
- Coordinate emergency response and scheduled maintenance activities, providing line crew and field support for system restoration.
- Support the identification, implementation, and tracking of maintenance and capital programs and associated expenditures.
- Prepare and coordinate bid proposals for outside contractors.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis of field activities to senior management.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for outage schedules, restoration updates, and related procedures.
- Assist with department planning and budgeting by identifying and justifying tools, equipment, and staffing requirements.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and technology integrations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, compliance, and company policies, codes, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Management, or a related field
- Journeyman Lineman certification with 3–5 years of relevant experience
- 7 years of directly related work experience in lieu of degree/certification.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of utility line construction, operations, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety codes, and compliance regulations.
Core Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to support multiple projects in a dynamic field operations environment.
