Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator (Entry-Level)
Position Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Project Management team to help ensure construction projects run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in construction management, offering hands-on exposure to project coordination, documentation processes, and team collaboration. While this position starts as a part-time position, we do expect it to turn to full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination tasks
- Review, track, and process project submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and timelines
- Log, distribute, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing change orders
- Coordinate Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation and records
- Perform job cost data entry and assist with budget tracking
- Provide support to the accounting team, including invoice tracking, coding, and general administrative assistance
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure timely project progress
- Assist with additional administrative and project-related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction management software (ie: ProCore and Timberline/Sage) is a plus
- Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
