Title: Project Controls Engineer (Master Scheduler)

 

Job Description:  

McKissack is seeking a construction Project Controls Engineer in the Philadelphia metro area.

The Project Controls Engineer (Master Scheduler) will act as the client’s representative working closely with the agency, A/E, user groups and contractors to report on construction project/program status, i.e. on schedule and within budget. The PCE will review contract documents, assess project needs, attend construction project meetings, document progress, prepare status reports and provide recommendations on actions required to maintain project schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.   

Responsibilities include: 

  • Providing Guidance to staff on all construction cost and time reporting on multiple projects as they are being performed and report on status of the program/projects. 

 

  • Audit contract records including correspondence, change orders, claims, contractor documents, partial payments, minutes of meetings, daily inspection reports, construction estimates, as-built drawings, specifications, submittals, safety reports, accident reports, RFI, non-compliance and rejection notices, etc. 

 

  • Develop a Master schedule using ORACLE P6. 
     
  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings as required  

 

  • Maintain electronic files for Engineer’s Estimates, Invoices and payments in a Project Management Information System. 

 

  •  Review current practices for compliance with accounting procedures and regulations.  

 

  •  Assist in the review and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time Extensions  

 

  • Manage workflows in Oracle Unifier application and produce reports for program status 

 

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

• Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally accredited college or university in any of the following areas of study: Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, Systems disciplines), or similar course of study.  

 

• 5+ years continuous Construction Management experience performing the duties of a Engineer (RE), Office Engineer (OE), or equivalent.  

 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

 

• Strong technical knowledge of typical construction methods and procedures including cost-control measures and schedule analysis techniques.  

 

• Strong background and demonstrated ability in use of Project Management Information System.  

 

• Strong background in the interpretation and review of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, etc. • Intermediate computer skills, including functional familiarity with Microsoft Office.  

 

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.  

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Professional licensure or certification such as PE, PSP, CCP or similar certification  

 

  • Experience with Oracle Unifier and Oracle P6 scheduling software. 

 

  • Familiarity with Power BI and creating dashboards.
