Are you an experienced Administrative Assistant with a background in commercial construction / architectural restoration? We’re hiring for a newly created role supporting a busy, growing construction company in the Wallingford area. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers and contribute to the success of major projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Support project managers and construction team with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Track project contracts, permits, compliance documents, and key deadlines
- Prepare and review AIA billing documents and standard contract forms
- Draft and manage follow-up correspondence with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Ensure documentation complies with state and federal construction regulations
- Maintain accurate project files and administrative records
- Assist with AR (account receivables) and AP (account payables) along with other general accounting tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior administrative experience in commercial construction is a must
- Familiarity with AIA billing, contracts, permitting processes, and construction terminology
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with construction software a plus
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a busy, fast-paced environment
