We’re seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Procurement to support our fast-paced creative fabrication shop, sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Managing multiple drivers, interacting with construction, painter lead, metal fabrication lead, CNC operators and fabrication managers. Must be highly organized and work closely with accounting department and construction coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, hardware, lumber, paint, props support items, rentals, and services to meet short timelines.
  • Research materials and options........solutions.
  • Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing/terms, and issue purchase orders; track approvals as needed.
  • Coordinate drivers and deliveries, will-call pickups, and returns; resolve shortages/damages quickly.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and develop new vendor sources.
  • Match POs/receipts/invoices; assist with documentation for accounting , work hand in hand with the accounting department.
  • Maintain organized records, receipts, and job-cost information by project.
  • Support on-set and shop needs with urgent/same-day purchases.
  • Ensure purchasing complies with company policies, safety requirements, maintain required logs.
  • Coordinate shop and truck maintenance
  • Assist with safety meetings and maintenance of safety supplies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, shop management (experience in set construction, fabrication is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, required
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple active requests.
  • Comfortable communicating with production, shop leads, coordinators, and vendors.
  • Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and purchasing/accounting tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets; PO systems).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift/carry typical purchased items as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime/weekends.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fast-paced environment, constantly evolving shop with clients request.
  • Driving is necessary; must be able to operate stake bed trucks. Forklift certification a plus

This staff position includes a three-month probationary period, with medical benefits provided after 90 days.
