Job Summary\n\nRedrock Recruitment are seeking for there client a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Planner to Join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget. The Construction Planner will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to develop comprehensive plans that facilitate efficient project delivery within a Tier 1 contractor working and tendering on Major Projects across the UK\nThis role will be based in Birmingham but will be required to be on site potentially 2 days a week with stay away costs to be covered.\nexperience in steel frame construction is essential for this role\nThis is a great opportunity to join a well established contractor with a very healthy order book.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Assist in developing tender programmes and converting them into Master Construction Programmes\n\n * Liaise with Planning Manager, Construction Directors and Contract Managers to finalise and update programmes\n\n * Report progress and programme slippage to senior stakeholders\n\n * Prepare method statements, logistics plans, and periodic reviews of key project timelines\n\n * Maintain programme databases (Gateway) and ensure document control compliance\n\n * Uphold Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with ISO requirements\n\n * Support company CPD, sustainability, and CSR initiatives\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nEssential:\n\n * Minimum 3 years’ planning experience in a construction environment\n\n * Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project\n\n * Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle\n\n * Excellent reporting and communication skills\n\n * Competent with Microsoft Office\n\n * Experience working on live construction sites\n\n * Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/BTEC/Degree)\n\n * CSR or CSCS card\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools\n\n * Understanding of tender documents, contracts, and commercial planning\n\n * Knowledge of web-based document management systems\n\n * CIOB accreditation
